We are extremely excited to announce a new and unique training opportunity for residents in the Selby District to become Energy Ambassadors! This programme is part funded by the European Union through the European Social Fund.
The 6 week course is an opportunity for individuals to learn about energy use, utility bills, heating for health and how to save money. It aims at also providing individuals with the confidence and skills to gain this knowledge and then take this information on to help others in the community, that could be for family, neighbours and friends, or to support the work of a community organisation, or future employment opportunities.
This could be a brilliant opportunity for any individual, but also for organisation's volunteers, to offer them the chance to gain specialist skills and knowledge and be able to then provide this for their organisation and advise service users moving forward.
Who is eligible?
Due to the funding specifications, participants must be over the age of 18 (there is no upper age limit), not in paid employment and at the time of the course, in no other training of more than 8 hours per week.
