We're very excited to be part of the national Big Energy Saving Network again this winter, funded by the Department of Energy and Climate Change.

What is it?

The Big Energy Saving Network is made up of 170 'Champions' from voluntary and community sector organisations across the UK. This is the second consecutive year that Yorkshire Energy Doctor CIC will be part of this network.

What help can we offer?

We will help residents in Selby and parts of North Yorkshire to:

*      Understand your energy bills

*      Check your prices

*      Switch energy company

*      Deal with energy debt

*      Access grants to reduce energy costs

*      Become energy efficient

*      Save money and Be Warm.

Why?

Energy bills are expensive and winter is coming - we do not want you to be paying more than you need to to heat your home. If you are one of the 45% of households who have never ever switched their energy supplier then you could save an average of £289 per year. If you are on a low income or means-tested benefits you could apply for £140 to help with your winter bills. We can help with all these things and the advice is completely independent.

When?

Keep an eye on our website to find out where and when we will be running a session locally. Alternatively you can contact Kate for more information and advice - 07738 818391 or email kate@yorkshireenergydoctor.org.uk If you run a local group in the Selby District and would like Kate to come and have a chat with your members about energy bills then please get in touch!

Work for a frontline organisation?

We are also delivering training for frontline organisations through this project - see here for more information.
