Over the first two months of the Big Energy Saving Network project for 2016/17 we have provided training sessions for York Advocacy and York Mind.
York Mind works to empower individuals who are experiencing mental ill-health to start on the pathway to recovery. The organisation runs a range of services across the York and Selby areas including mentoring, counselling, befriending, peer support, and social and leisure activities, as well as a young peoples project. York Advocacy is an additional service run by York Mind and this specialist team helps people say what they want, secures their rights, represents their interests and obtains services they need.
The feedback we received following the training for these two teams was extremely positive and attendees scored their knowledge before the session at 2.19 out of 5, rising to 4.38 afterwards. Some of the feedback comments included:
Really good facilitation, be great to access advice from your service for clients
All the information is useful, especially comparing the energy providers
Excellent, really useful and informative, thank you
As well as possibly our favourite ever feedback comment: It was awesome - thank you
We really hope that the information we provided on the ways households can reduce their energy costs and the help available will really benefit the clients supported by York Mind and Advocacy.
