Energy…… it isn’t the most exciting topic in the world yet it is vitally important to every household in the country. We all have to pay energy bills and we all rely on heating to keep ourselves warm and well.
We often get asked to give talks to local community groups and have been keen to make energy more engaging, to reach more people and to thus increase the uptake of support by those vulnerable groups who really need it.
Thanks to the National Lottery’s Awards for All programme, we will be creating the ‘Big Energy Saving Gameshow’. Using the principles of classic gameshows, we will give them a unique energy spin.
We will then take our gameshows out to local community groups to provide fun and engaging activities with educational messages. Ultimately we will be evaluating this approach in terms of its effectiveness in reaching the most vulnerable residents in the Selby District.
