The Big Energy Saving Network consists of a range of voluntary sector organisations across the country who provide energy advice to consumers. This is usually in community settings by providing 1-2-1 advice through outreach sessions or talks to groups.
We will reach 100 households during the project, giving advice on managing energy bills, payments and debts, smart meters, signups to the Priority Services Register, grants to help with energy costs, energy efficiency schemes and ways to cut other bills such as water.
How can you access this project?
So far this winter we have run a drop-in event at Selby Community House and also attended groups run by Homestart in Goole and the Refugee Council in Beverley.
If you run a community group who would like a speaker, or are an organisation that supports vulnerable residents, please get in touch if you would like us to come and talk to your clients. Contact Kate: kate@yorkshireenergydoctor.org.uk or 01757 249100.
