Thanks to new funding, we are able to offer an exciting opportunity to learn more about energy. Whether you want to better understand your own bills and energy use, be equipped to help others, want to upskill for work or volunteering opportunities, or are interested in the environment and sustainability, this course has something for you.
Who is eligible?
You need to live in North Yorkshire or York, be aged 18-64
AND
be:
Employed and need/want to upskill or reskill OR
Out of work and want to learn new skills to move towards further learning, volunteering or work.
How does it work?
This will be an informal and very practical course. There will be:
a) an introductory group session (optional)
then
b) e-learning resources and practical exercises to work through in your own time to properly understand all elements of energy use in the home, including bills, consumption, energy efficiency and new technologies.
Whilst learning more, we will be on hand to check-in with you to answer any questions that arise, to support with any 1-2-1 problems around bills, and to look at future opportunities in this field.
